...What is electric car Electric car is an alternate fuel automobile that uses electricity instead of petrol or diesel. These automobiles have electric motors and controllers used for propulsion. These vehicles do not use the traditional or the common methods of propulsion like ICE (internal combustion engine). These cars are energy efficient and are capable of reducing city pollution because of the zero tail pipe emission. The functioning of the cars greatly depends on the quality of the battery used in the car. The poor battery may result into long hours of recharging and poor speed with poor acceleration. These cars are not practically suitable for long journey but can be a good transportation vehicle for everyday use and can be recharged overnight. Why electric car India has millions of people to house, power grids to expand and factories to fuel. They all involve hydrocarbons. How, then, is a developing economy to grow sustainably? One answer may lie in a small electric car. The advantages of electric cars are multiple and compelling. Instant torque for good initial acceleration, quiet operation, low local pollution, and ease of operation (Reva -a car with automatic gear shift)are among their many compelling virtues. The principal advantage for everyone in adopting electric cars is virtually eliminating urban air pollution. The civil advantages of electrics were recognized early. Thomas Edison created a pretty good nickel-iron battery a hundred years ago,......

...been a luxury car contributor to the motoring world, so when it was announced that they have been working on a 200mph supercar, I was quite skeptical about it. I mean, Lexus? With a supercar? Is it going to be hideous? Is it going to be a total failure? Is it going to tarnish their name altogether? There were the ones who thought it would be a step too high, and then there were the people who were pretty excited as to how this supercar would actually turn out afterall. Either way, in one way or another, everyone wanted to see what this 200mph lexus supercar was going to be all about. Did lexus pull this one off? First came the figures.A naturally aspirated V10 engine, 552 bhp, six-speed automated sequential gearbox, top speed of 203mph, 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds. Not bad, sounds like a proper supercar to me. Then came the price,a whopping US$375,000. We all know Lexus is technically Toyota and they weren’t the best at making supercars before this. So to command a hefty price tag for something this company has never tried before (a shot at a 200mph supercar that is), I hoped for the best nevertheless. The Lexus LFA was unveiled on the 21st of October 2009 at the 41st biennial Tokyo Motor Show. A white supercar with a carbon fiber roof and a rear spoiler that would automatically be deployed at speeds above 50mph. I fell in love with the car the moment I saw the pictures. Before this, no supercar was my dream car, the Ferraris and Lamborghinis were just another supercar to me,......

...Some people think that the automobile has improved modern life, and others think that it has caused serious problems. In my opinion, the automobile, despite its obvious benefits, has caused serious problems.Among its other problems, the automobile is harmful to the environment,it is dangerous, and it is expensive. First of all,the automobile is harmful to the environment. For example,in order to make way for ther construction of highways, many forests have had to be cut down.Furthermore, the gas-consuming automoblie has caused a great deal of pollution. For instance, the smelting of steal, needed for making the automobile, has also caused a great deal of pollution. In addition, the automobile is dangerous. For example, pedestrians and cyclists get run over by cars every day.Furthermoure, drivers,as well as,passengers, get killed every day in accidents.Statistically,it is more dangerous to travel by car than by airplane. For instance, even certain features built into a car, which are designed to make driving the vehicle safer, can prove to be hazardous. The safety air bag, which is known to have caused fatalities,is a case in point. Finally, the automobile is expensive. For example, insurance costs, especially for beginner drivers, can be very steep.Futhermore, the cost of the car itself can set the purchaser back many thousands of dollars. For instance, the costs of just keeping the car on the road-costs of fuel and upkeep-add up very quickly.Perhaps,it is the cost of the automobile that poses the most......

...Automobile Industry Current Issue: In terms of sales, 2014 saw fluctuating fortunes for the industry with stretches of decline followed by consecutive rise before falling in October again Besides sales decline, the industry also faced a number of challenges in the form of abundant vehicle recalls, and censure for safety issues. Solution: FMEA, Root cause analysis, Quality checks and Improvement processes, World-class technology (like in Germany and Japan), setting up targets/benchmarking with those competitors can be in place Demand Mgmt: The challenge here is that the period is fairly long (typically one month) relative to how fast market conditions (e.g., gas prices, the stock market) can change.  Solution: Four major elements of demand: – prediction – communication – influence – prioritization and allocation * checking inventories twice a month. * prioritize orders for cars that are already sold to customers over cars that will just sit on a dealer’s lot  * a highly structured operations planning system (with advanced planning and scheduling and ERP) that is more akin to a push approach Product Development: Vehicle development is expensive, time-consuming, and risky. Costs to design, engineer, and tool a major new model can reach into the billions of dollars Solution: looking for ways to reduce development time and cost to improve profitability and to better react to market changes,Performance measures and efficiency analysis for product......
